Background

Prajñā Foundation is a non-profitable society registered under Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies’ Registration Act 1955 to propagate the need for personal integrity and professional commitment in the field of higher education, especially the discourses of cultural and literary theories in research as professed, practiced and propagated by Prof. N. Prasantha Kumar, Professor of English, Sree Sankaracharya University.

The motive of the Foundation is to promote intellectual knowledge through committed service. It is founded by his research scholars, students, friends and relatives to promote and maintain highest standards of professional conduct, commitment and integrity in all domains of life. It is expected to work for the betterment of higher education through promotion of research, cultural and literary theories, encouragement of translation and editorial assignments and similar academic and cultural activities in India in general and in Kerala in particular.

The Foundation is intended to cultivate co-operation and better understanding among the members in order to achieve absolute unity to protect their rights and interests by empowering themselves through knowledge of literature, theory and criticism. The ultimate objective of the Foundation is to mentor a community of committed teachers, researchers and students interested in understanding and spreading the vital significance of cultural and literary theories to explain and resolve the problems of human life.
